About Me

After a four year apprenticeship I qualified as a farrier in 1979. During this time I was also involved in part time youth work. In 1988 I was offered a full time youth work post and then involved in various forms of youth work for 20 years.

I am based in Cotgrave in South Notts where I live with my wife and four children and have been back in business as a farrier since 8th August 2008 covering areas of Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire and Derbyshire.

My past youth work experience and faith has given me a desire to not only care for the horse’s well being but I also enjoy developing a caring relationship with clients.

My intention is to grow a small regular client base and to shoe four or five horses a day on average. This is to enable me to do a reliable and quality job that I enjoy without having to compromise by rushing from one place to another.

May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face; the rains fall soft upon your fields.
Until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of his hand.
